PRIVACY STATEMENT

Thank you for visiting our website.  Garners Food Service Equipment Limited is commited to protecting the privacy of all of its customers. 

1. What information do we require and how do we use it?
We require information such as your postal address, e-mail address, telephone number and your credit card number and expiry date or bank account details etc whenever you place an order or request one of our catalogues.   As such, you have to register before you can purchase anything online.

We gather this information to allow us to process your request. The relevant information is then used by us, our agents and sub-contractors to provide you with the service you have requested and to communicate with you on any matter relating to the provision of the service in general.

We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring web site usage in order to help us develop the web site and our service via, for example Google Analytics.™  We will not share this information with any third party. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual, in accordance to the Data Protection Act 1998 (c 29.)

2. Our use of Cookies and other information gathering technologies.
Cookies are small text files placed on you computer by web sites. A cookie contains identifying information. The cookie is used to make the link between you and the information you have provided to the web site. This allows your shopping basket to be kept separate from other users and enables us to automatically complete some of the forms when you subsequently use them.

3. How do we ensure that your personal data is protected and that shopping on-line with us is secure?

Although the Internet is not a 100% secure medium, Garners have developed procedures to protect your information as detailed in this policy.

We have installed a mechanism that uses digital server identities so that you can be sure that the website you access is ours.  When you access the secure pages of our site your browser will be provided with an electronic certificate confirming that you have accessed our site and all communications will be encrypted. When you create an online order, request or feedback that is then passed on to the relevant destination using the same level of encryption, this includes credit card verification. Firewalls are used to block unauthorised traffic to the servers and the actual servers are located in a secure location which can only be accessed by authorised personnel.

You can be assured your information is secure as there will appear a padlock symbol on your server and the website address will change from http:// to https://secure.gsoftdns.net....

4. How to update your details.
Please contact Garners if details such as your e-mail, delivery or payment addresses have changed.    You can do so by e-mail marketing@garnersmail.co.uk or by letter to Garners Food Service Equipment Limited, 28-32 Hall Street, Sherwood, Nottingham, NG5 4AS.
5. Your consent
By submitting your information you consent to the use of that information as set out in this Policy. If we change our Privacy Policy we will post the changes on this page, and may place notices on other pages of the web site, so that you may be aware of the information we collect and how we use it at all times. We will also e-mail you should we make any changes so that you may consent to our use of your information in that way. Continued use of the service will signify that you agree to any such changes.
