John Garner - Managing Director

Prior to starting the business in 1983 John worked for several manufacturers designing and selling large scale catering installations for many household names and government departments.

Now heading a growing and successful business, John’s role is day to day overall management and direction of the company as well as retaining some role in large scale project design and sales.

Rosie Garner - Finance Director

Rosie has been closely involved in the business from its inception.

Although qualified in business management, Rosie has gained a thorough knowledge of the trade thereby achieving a better understanding of the practical issues relating to the financial management of the company.

Rosie is also involved in matters relating to Personnel and IT and is the company Health & Safety Officer.

Mike Widdowson - Development Director

Mike has around 40 years Sales and Marketing experience in various capacities, including over 25 years involved within the catering equipment market.

 As well has heading up the company's Marketing Department, Mike takes a particular interest in the development of new business initiatives and brand awareness.

Tim Fisher - Managing Director Designate

Tim has been in the industry for some 28 years and has accrued a wealth of experience and knowledge covering numerous fields of operation with particular emphasis on catering facility design and contracting procedures.

In addition to his main role, Tim also makes a valuable contribution to the company’s key sales effort and in addition is responsible for site related health and safety matters. 

Martin Lyon - National Sales Manager

Martin was a chef for over 22 years working in such famous hotels as The Dorchester before moving on to Rational, where he successfully built growth on growth profits.   Having recently joined the company, Martin's main responsibility is to oversee the entire sales operation, including liasing closely with both the estimating and design and projects sides of the business.

Angela Humphrey - Marketing Manager

Angela joined us in the summer of 2004 and has been recently promoted to Marketing Manager, with responsibility for implementing our marketing strategies and devising campaigns. 

Angela takes particular responsibility for tracking down national catering projects and carefully researching their requirements, as well as logging and allocating all projects and enquires.

Angela is particularly adept at understanding the requirements of architects, contractors and other professional bodies and is always available for advice.  Angela can be contacted via e-mail on angelah@garnersmail.net or on our normal office number.

Peter Walker - Marketing Assistant

Peter is heavily involved in the Marketing Department, working closely with Angela in devising strategies and campaigns, and developing our presence within the Midlands, working closely alongside Andy Brown.

Peter is also responsible for developing our new website in both its content and design.

Diane Wojcik - Administration

Diane has been with us for over 5 years and in that time has been involved in a diverse range of Customer Service and administrative duties including Telephone Reception, Service and all aspects of Accounts with particular emphasis on Purchase Ledger.

Sarah Hallam - Administration Assistant

Sarah joined the company after completing her A-levels and is involved in all aspects of the busy Administration Department, including Credit Control and Sales and Purchase Ledger.

Sarah also helps ensure all the Projects run efficiently. Sarah is likely to be the friendly voice answering the telephones and transferring any enquiries to the relevant Departments.

Elly Clifton - Design and Projects Coordinator

Having Graduated with a Furniture and Product Design degree from Nottingham Trent University, Elly is a valued member of the Designs and Contracts Department.

Elly coordinates all new Projects and works closely with both the Sales and the Estimating Departments. Elly also works closely with Tim Fisher and Jonathan Meats in the design of these projects.

Tony Appleton - Senior Estimator

Tony is most probably one of the longest serving people in our industry, bringing over 35 years relevant experience to the table.

Tony has covered pretty much every aspect of our business but has particular expertise in the specification and procurement of catering equipment schemes and is responsible for the compilation of estimates together with appropriate supplier negotiation to ensure that our clients receive best value for money.

Nicki Webster - Service Manager

As Service Manager Nicki is responsible for the Service Department, receiving service calls from customers, liaising with engineers and manufacturers, ensuring fast efficient service for both warranty and non-warranty calls. Nicki also organises Preventative Maintenance Contracts for existing and new customers as well as the compilation and issue of the technical manuals on completion of a project.

John Davey - Warehouse and Transport Manager

John’s prime responsibility is to ensure the smooth running of our goods-in, warehouse and delivery operations and is often the face our client’s see when receiving their equipment.

Ever resourceful, John provides a vital link in our operational chain by ensuring that deliveries are safely and punctually carried out and that our customers receive a personal and professional delivery service every time.

Sarah Archer - Internal Sales

Sarah is Midlands based and offers a local contact to clients wishing to purchase replacement equipment for their existing facility.

Sarah has over 16 years sales experience and prides herself on providing a prompt and reliable service.

Mark Camm - Estimator

Mark joined us in 1990 to assist with our warehouse operation and will be familiar to many of our existing customers.

Mark is our office based anchorman and having a vast knowledge of the trade, Mark is always on hand to offer advice and assistance with quotations and sales of all types of equipment.

Jonathan Meats - Project Manager

Jonathan joined us in 2003 having already experienced 6 years in the shop fitting and manufacturing industry designing, costing and installing complete catering installations.

Jonathan has first hand experience of a diverse range of projects up to a value of £600,000 and brings specialist expertise with his knowledge of cold-room and servery counter design.

Andy Brown - Area Sales Manager

Having been involved in technical sales for over 10 years, Andy brings with him a strong understanding of modern day business needs and requirements.

Andy has a strong emphasis on developing solid long term relationships with his clients, believing that this is only possible by understanding the client's business coupled with understanding the impact that he has on that business as a supplier.
